IPTP advised Datakalab, a goundbreaking neural network compression technology in its sale to Apple.

Datakalab has developed a platform for deep neural network compression enabling OEMs and semiconductors companies to minimize latency, energy conumption and hardware requirements by implementing it proprietary research methods based on contexte-aware compression, pruning, computation optimization and quantization. Founded in 2016 by Xavier and Luca Fischer, Datakalab gathers a team of world-renowned and seasonned AI and neural network compression experts.

The acquisition of Datakalab will allow Apple to accelerate its AI reaearch and the development of its next generation devices embeding powerfull and efficient AI capabilities through all its product line.
